Our journey began in 1997 as a founding member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, a not for profit organization that works to improve tea sustainability, the lives of tea workers and the environment in which tea is produced. Today, Twinings offers a range of Organic & Fair Trade Certified teas and herbal infusions. Fair Trade Certified guarantees that farmers and workers are paid fair wages, working conditions are safe and entire communities are provided resources for healthy and sustainable lives.

This blend starts with teas carefully selected from the Assam Valley, located at the northeast corner of India. Assam's tropical climate, plentiful rainfall and fertile soil produce teas that are bold, rich and flavorful. We combine these teas with the sweet and savoury spices of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger and pepper to yield an aromatic tea with an authentic chai taste.
