Organic Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) Mushroom
The Ganoderma species can be found on trees all over the world but is rare to find in the wild. In legends, it was rumored to be food for the immortals. In the 1st century Chinese Medicine classic The Divine Farmer’s Almanac, the Ganoderma mushroom was referred to as the “elixir of life”. In Japan, Ganoderma is called Reishi which is derived from the characters for “immortality plant”.
Our Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) mushrooms are from Hokkaido, Japan and grown on hardwood. It is harvested in the snow season after the mushrooms have begun to fruit. The duel extraction process begins with hot water and followed by Organic alcohol to extract both water and fat soluble chemical constituents.
The Fruiting Body of Reishi contains a variety of phytochemicals such as triterpenoids and polysaccharides which studies have shown to support healthy immune function, general wellness and vitality.*
Organic White Button (Agaricus bisporus) Mushroom
Agaricus bisporus has many common names such as White Button, Crimini and Baby Portobello. Found throughout North America and Europe, the ideal natural habitat is on the forest floor under Cypress trees in Western Coastal California. White Button mushrooms have been a culinary favorite for centuries and were documented to be cultivated in France in 1707.
Our White Button (Agaricus bisporus) mushrooms are from the USA and cultivated in a controlled indoor environment to mimic their ideal natural habitat. A hot water followed by alcohol duel extraction process is used to extract the optimal chemical constituents.
The Full Spectrum of the White Button mushroom (the Mycelium, Primordia, Fruiting Bodies & Extracellular Compounds) contain a number of naturally occurring vitamins and mineral such as B vitamins, potassium and zinc.
