Provinal® Purified Omega-7 contains 210 mg of highly refined omega-7 palmitoleic acid, a fatty acid that helps maintain already healthy levels of total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides. This makes it complementary to your omega-3 fish oil supplement.

Scientists have grown increasingly excited about the health effects of omega-7 fatty acids. One of these, called palmitoleic acid, has properties that encourage the metabolic factors associated with supporting cardiovascular health.

LDL, HDL and triglyceride support

Studies show that 210 mg of palmitoleic acid a day helps maintain already healthy levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL and HDL after just one month of supplementation.

Further studies have found that palmitoleic acid can help maintain already-normal C-reactive protein levels and promote healthy insulin sensitivity. A pre-clinical study has shown that palmitoleic acid can also help support the gastric hormones responsible for feelings of hunger and satiety.
