Inspired by the first drinking chocolate created by the Aztecs as early as 1900 B.C., we roast our cocoa slowly to extract the flavors of the land from which it is grown, grind it into a fine powder, add small chunks of dark chocolate, and the perfect amount of sugar.
Slowly heat one cup of milk or milk alternative on the stovetop while stirring continually until hot. When vapors rise, the milk has reached the ideal temperature to gently whisk in 2 or more tablespoons of Authentic Drinking Cocoa. Whisk again and pour into your favorite mug to be enjoyed with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings or cinnamon.
